Mayock anticipates what I do, namely us moving back out of the 1st. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/mock-drafts/mike-mayock/205660
Basically, would you want us to trade with one of the top teams of the 2nd round who weren't able to get a QB with their first pick, and want to snag one at 28. Would you think it would be more beneficial to move back and gain an additional 2nd round pick right at the beginning of the round, if so, what situations would you consider it in? Personally, I say if the top 5 WR's, in which I include Lee not Benjamin in, are all selected, I would be okay with the move, and then select Matthews or Adams with one of the first 3 picks of the next round, and again a WR in the 3rd with ours or one we gain. We could possibly gain the ability to draft 2 WR's and 2 OL's in the 2nd and 3rd rounds or 2WR, 1CB and 1OL.
Or is there a specific player, more likely a WR as the premier tackles will probably be gone, that you would consider moving UP in the draft to get. I DO NOT mean up to a top 10 spot since we would give up too much and we need as many prospects as we can get. But more like moving up to earlier in the 20's, say Beckham is there at 20 still, which would likely mean he'd sit there until 23, but the Chiefs may move up to secure him if that occurs, so should we maybe jump to 21 if Beckham or Cooks is there?
