Five weeks remain until the NFL draft and we might be getting a little closer to understanding who the Panthers are looking at. USC wide receiver Marqise Lee will meet with the team, according to Pro Football Talk.
Lee was one of the best wide receivers in college football in 2012, but fell off the map in 2013 -- partially due to injuries. It's unclear whether the receiver would last until the No. 28 pick, especially given the other team meeting with Lee is the New Orleans Saints, who happen to be picking at No. 27.
Here's where things get more interesting with Lee. The receiver has said he worked out privately for two teams in California, but did not want to divulge the teams -- presumably out of respect for the organizations and fear it would hurt his draft stock. Cross reference that information with this Tweet from Ricky Proehl, suddenly things get fascinating.

It's important to note that USC's pro day was back on Mar. 11, so the Panthers wide receiver coach was at USC to meet with someone on his scouting trip, making it safe to assume Carolina was one of Lee's two private workouts.
