Just as a reminder, here are the voting rules:
I'm not doing the voting via polls this time around, because I want to create a system where I can do more than one vote per article if I need to speed this tournament along in the future. It's not complicated as long as everyone follows the one rule for voting. To vote for your preferred player, all you have to do is type your vote in the subject line. (Yes, just like you did for the nominations.)
In each post I will provide you the two voting options to choose from (that way you can just copy/paste and don't have to worry about spelling names correctly), so be sure to check the bottom of each post for your voting choices.
In the nomination thread I was more lenient towards nominations that didn't completely follow the proper format, but for the voting rounds I will not count any vote that doesn't adhere to the guideline. If you do not vote using the correct format, your vote will not count. I repeat, If you do not vote using the correct format, your vote will not count.
Let's say it one more time for good measure:
If you do not vote using the correct format, your vote will not count.
I'm sure you're wondering why I'm doing it this way. Well, allow me to explain.
Using the comment thread to vote accomplishes two things:
1) It prevents the troll vote in the poll because anyone can anonymously click a button and vote in a poll, but only registered members of the community can write a comment.
2) It allows discussions to occur in the comment thread because you can provide reasoning behind your voting decision in the comment box.
I think this format will work out better for everyone once you get the hang of it. However, if it doesn't work out and everyone ends up hating it so much that you stop taking part in voting, I will consider reverting back to using the poll system. (I'm not that bad of a dictator, right?)
Now that we have all that stuff out of the way, let's get to voting in the next matchup, shall we?
Our next matchup features two of the Panthers' more recent free agent signings (both of which are still on the roster), as (4) Mike Tolbert squares off against (5) Graham Gano.
I think everyone is familiar enough with both players to avoid a paragraph highlighting each player's accomplishments, so I will spare you the extra reading.
Below are your two options for voting:
To vote for Mike Tolbert, simply type: Vote - Tolbert
To vote for Graham Gano, simply type: Vote - Gano
Alright Panthers fans, vote for your favorite! Voting for this matchup will close at 6 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday), so be sure to get your vote in before it's too late!
Author's note: A special hat tip goes out to the staff at Cageside Seats who use this tournament format and gave me the idea to try it here at CSR.
