The new Tampa Bay Buccaneers logo looked good. It was clean, refined and read well on an NFL helmet. Modernizing the brand was the right move, but the decision on the team's new uniforms looks like something out of the 1980's.
Seattle got carbon fiber in when they retooled their uniforms -- Tampa Bay got Casio.
Who's bright idea was this, exactly? Sure, the orange is a callback to the original uniforms of old but between the three-tone color scheme, digital clock numbers and new helmet it's a muddled and wholly bizarre look that's more Back to the Future than modern NFL.
The switch immediately helps the Panthers' strength of schedule in 2014. Now they'll be playing against an arena football team twice per year.
What do you think? Is the uniform as bad as it looks? Will this ever catch on? Hopefully not.
