Several Fan Speak Mocks

So as i was sitting in class i decided to run a couple FanSpeak Simulator Drafts, and noticed they have added an option to use big boards from Optimum Scouting, Walter Football, and their own. So i decided to run a mock from each one. Here they are:

FanSpeak Big Board

28

OT ZACK MARTIN

NOTRE DAME

60

TE JACE AMARO

TEXAS TECH

92

WR DONTE MONCRIEF

MISSISSIPPI

128

CB ROSS COCKRELL

DUKE

168

WR MICHAEL CAMPANARO

WAKE FOREST

204

CB DONTAE JOHNSON

NORTH CAROLINA STATE

225

OLB TYLER STARR

SOUTH DAKOTA

Like this draft because we get a player in Martin who i feel can play Left Tackle for us. We also add a good variety of weapons on offense. Adding a big bodied TE and an Athletic, big, fast receiver who can stretch the field will certainly help, along with a good slot WR in Campanaro. I also liked the additions of Cockrell, Johnson, and Starr in the later rounds. Dontae Johnson is a big, athletic, physical Corner/Safety that the league has begun to trend towards. I think Cockrell could start for us alongside Cason and Melvin/Dontae in Nickel formations. Tyler Starr is a good developmental prospect who has great lateral movement and should be able to contribute on special teams.

Walter Football Big Board

28

WR BRANDIN COOKS

OREGON STATE

60

TE AUSTIN SEFERIAN-JENKINS

WASHINGTON

92

OT CAMERON FLEMING

STANFORD

128

DE WILL CLARKE

WEST VIRGINIA

168

CB ANTONE EXUM

VIRGINIA TECH

204

WR DEVIN STREET

PITTSBURGH

225

CB ANDRE HAL

VANDERBILT

I have to admit i know less about the players in this draft than i do for the first ones. I do know that Cooks is an athletic freak, and ASJ is a huge TE with great receiving and blocking potential. As far as Fleming i thought he was slotted in the 4-5 range, but he was BPA on this board so i took him. Ive heard good things about Will Clarke and adding another body to our DE rotation never hurts. As for Exum, as my buddy who is a Hokie fan says, VT is starting to become DB-U. They have been putting out good DBs consistently for a while and at this point in the draft its good enough value to take a risk on the injury prone Exum. As far as Street and Hal my knowledge is very limited, i just know Street is a fast, tall receiver that could complement Cooks well. Ive heard good things about Hal as well.

Optimum Scouting Big Board

28

CB JUSTIN GILBERT

OKLAHOMA STATE

60

TE AUSTIN SEREFIN-JENKINS

WASHINGTON

92

WR JORDAN MATTHEWS

VANDERBILT

128

WR DONTE MONCRIEF

OLE MISS

168

OT CHARLES LENO

BOISE STATE

204

CB LOUCHEIZ PURIFOY

FLORIDA

225

S TELVIN SMITH

FLORIDA STATE

Gilbert falling to us at 28 would be outstanding, although i don't see it happening. Again i decided to add a big-bodied TE in the 2nd and followed that up with who i feel will be a good possession receiver, Matthews. I again chose to draft Moncrief, who has become one of my favorite WRs this year. Then chose to add a developmental T, Purifoy who has a shot to be a pretty good CB and then a late Safety to develop and play special teams.

Let me know what you think and remember to let me know which draft you prefer in the poll.
