If you're wondering what happened to the Panthers #1 receiver from 2013, you may want to take another look at the current roster. Yes, he's not exciting, or flashy, but he's reliable. That receiver my friends, is Greg Olsen. Not only was he the most productive "receiver" on the roster last year in terms of catches, yards, and touchdowns, he also shared the same # of targets as Steve Smith (109), and first downs (44). He's also still only 29, and has two years left on his contract. Now I know, he's not a WR and I'm not going to say he has the same impact as a true #1 WR does (ala Calvin Johnson, AJ Green etc.), but he's reliable, and he produces. So for those of you who say, "we have no receivers on this team", you may want to rethink what a receiver is. I'm not so sure Gettleman isn't thinking the same thing going in to this years draft. Don't be surprised if the G-man takes the best "receiver" on the board, regardless of position designation, or if next years #1 WR is "already on the roster". Go Panthers!
