Players will start arriving Wednesday, you can check the schedule at this link. We will have open threads throughout the work outs with recaps by day. The work outs start on Friday with groups 1 and 2. Panther fans will want to tune in early this year as our positions of focus, OL and WR are featured early in the program. The primary on-field exercises will be Saturday and Sunday for these groups.
A summary of the on-field work out schedule by position group (the fun part in my view):
PK/ST/OL/TE - Saturday
I'm actually interesting in seeing the TEs and whether there is a guy other than Eric Ebron worth taking at #28.
QB/WR/RB - Sunday
WR is loaded this year so it will be interesting to see who can stand out from this group.
DL/LB - Monday
Don't sleep on the linebackers, I think Ron Rivera would draft at least one LB every year.
DB - Tuesday
A CB or safety could also be the pick at #28 as the Panthers look to make their strength even stronger.
Every Coach and GM in the NFL will also give a speech. Our schedule:
3:30pm Thursday Feb, 20th - Dave Gettleman starts off with his 15 minutes followed by HC Ron Rivera
We will be listening in and reporting on any juicy details (though we are not necessarily expecting any). But you never know with this candid crowd we now have.
SBN will have two representatives there, Dan Kadar and Matthew Fairburn. You might remember Matthew joined us for an episode of CSR radio last year so I'm hoping he will do the same this year after the combine. Stay tuned for that.
I also encourage CSR members to post their thoughts on what they see during the combine. We will look to front page those that are well written and provide a little insight.
