So the Bengals and Raiders are two teams recently sued by their Cheerleader squads. I have always like the idea of cheerleaders BECAUSE it is basically a volunteer gig. The paltry sum of money the ladies get for their services should make it clear that representing the panthers at charity events and a few fan functions is not a career or even a full time job. Cheerleading is a sort of fun cross between gymnastics and beauty pageants, but if it is going to serve as a distraction for the players, the team executives and staff, or even the fan base would you just be in favor of getting rid of them before it becomes a problem? Several NFL teams have never used cheerleaders. I am not for dumping the Top Cats suddenly but if the judges rule against Oakland and Cincinnati and the cheerleaders become another expensive HR headache, should we just get rid of them? I'd rather see more fan shots and player close ups during games instead of camera close ups of cheerleaders anyhow. Damn I convinced myself by the end of my rant.
