Oh My God, are you really doing 2 threads in 1 day? Yes I am for the curious people asking this question in their heads. and if your aren't asking this question, then you obviously don't care about me (like the other 100% of CSR).
Now, I'm no Hurneynator, so I can't tell you what Kelvin Benjamin had for breakfast last Tuesday, I'm just the below average scout on this sight that enjoys evaluating players. Now Let's evaluate one of the more potentially high Receivers in this draft. Kelvin Benjamin.
Let's start by saying he is a physical God. 6"5 235, Max Out squat: 600 pounds, Max Out Bench Press: 435. Yup he is a beast, true athlete who has the intangibles you can't coach. Now we shall take a look at his drop percentages everyone (including me) speculates about.
His drop rate percentage is close to the 11% mark, and he average at least 1 huge drop a game. The main reason he drops them though is because he usually will lose focus and try to turn up field. That can be broke though by receiver coach Ricky Proehl. How about his speed?
Kelvin allegedly ran a 4.5 this past offseason, can he do it at the combine? if he does it will be a huge stock increase. Will he be a bust?
Considering he is only a redshirt sophmore, he doesn't necessarily have the leadership you would want, or motivation ethic like competitor receiver Jordan Matthews. Route Skills?
His route skills aren't the best thing about him. He has raw technique, he needs to fix it. Potential Comparison?
Kelvin Benjamin's Potential. Ceiling: top 10 #1 receiver. Basement: a good #2 receiver, Elite #3.
With this said here is him in a mock draft: (3 rounds)
2nd Stanley Jean- Babtiste
3rd James Hurst
