The Carolina Panthers will face the winner of this afternoon's game between the 49ers and Packers.
It's a good thing the Panthers have home field advantage, because the idea of playing in freezing temperatures isn't so fun. Meteorologists are hoping it will rise to 5-degrees by kickoff, with wind chills reportedly soaring to -30 in Wisconsin. The grass is as brown as dirt, players will be forced to try and avoid frostbite while playing in the most important game of the season.
Pregame discussion: Which team would you prefer to see in the NFL divisional round? I'm going with Green Bay. I know the Panthers beat San Francisco before, but it was a one-point win and the 49ers didn't have Vernon Davis or Michael Crabtree. The Packers defense is suspect enough that I think Carolina could score some much-needed points, because it's going to take more than 10 against the 49ers now.
