Carolina is set to meet with a highest remaining seed from the wild card round, which will be either the Philadelphia Eagles or the winner of the Sunday game between Green Bay and San Francisco. It's hard to project which would be the best matchup right now.
Philadelphia boasts one of the few offenses that could give the Panthers defense trouble, typified by their dominant preseason display against Carolina's depth players. However, the 49ers and Packers both have veteran teams that know what it takes to win in the playoffs -- and San Francisco with Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree is infinitesimally scarier than the unit that lost by one point in Charlotte.
Part of me wants to see an Eagles win, if for no other reason than relishing in the Panthers being the last remaining NFC South team in the playoffs.
Vote in our poll, which will be open until kickoff.
