RIP Kate's Irish Pub

The headline doesn't catch your eye, because it seems to have nothing to do with our team. But this bar has been around for 20 years in my suburb/town in Northern Virginia. Unfortunately it closed last Sunday. I got to watch my last panthers game there ever then. The saddest thing is it was the only bar I could get the panthers on TV. Most football fans in there would complain, but for once this year I could just respond with, "what is your teams record?"

This might be my bud lite fan commercial thing (even though I drink yuengling), but every game I watched there this year we won. No bullshit. My bartender up there couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe it. Now I can't believe it closed and we are in the playoffs finally.

Anyway, you will be missed Kate's Irish Pub in Springfield, Virginia. Thank you for the great moments throughout the years and especially this last great football season.

GO PANTHERS
