The work of Football as Football is one of our favorite things. It's an effort to re-imagine NFL logos in the soccer style of England, Spain, Germany and Italy. Today they released their third round, and we dig it.
Carolina's latest logo is a nod to Spanish "La Liga" team Real Madrid, and it works perfectly given Charlotte's penchant for being called "The Queen City."
You can see the full host of Panthers logos here, but this is their best effort. It's not primary logo stuff, but this could easily be a secondary. It's no snarling Panther, but the symmetry is something the current logo lacks.
The next step is getting giant flags made and trying to recreate the Euro soccer atmosphere at The Bank. If Seattle can do it gosh darned it we can.
What do you think of this latest logo? Think these efforts have any place in the NFL?
