Here we go.
Greg Hardy- tag and trade. Trade for Oakland's 2nd rd. this yr and third rd. next season.
Gross- re-sign for 2 yrs 6 mil. Long enough to groom his replacement.
Nicks- offer a 1 yr 4.5 mil. incentive based contract to prove he's worth the big money contract he wants.
Our free agents: Notable importance.
Capt'n- Re-sign as a nickel corner or let him walk.
Bell and Chandler- cut. Maybe sign one of Oher or Saffold if the price is right.
Godfrey- Rework contract or let him walk.
Lafell/ Hixon/ Ginn- Keep one. Ginn has the big play ability so he's the guy.
Florence/Mikell- Keep only on a 1 yr deal.
We sign Nicks, one of Oher or Saffold and go after Tuck.
Ok on to the draft:
Rd.1- CB OSU- Bradley Roby- WR going early and fast. We take a corner. Secondary is in need of a top flight corner.
Rd.2a- OT OSU- Jack MeWhort- Big tackle prospect that could learn from gross for a year and take over next season.
2b- WR FSU- Kelvin Benjamin- Big physical receiver looked pretty good this season. Would look good on the field with Agent 89 and Olsen.
Rd.3- WR Rutgers- Brandon Coleman- He would be great value here but I don't think he falls this far.
Rd.4- DE UNC- Kareem Martin- Homer pick. He could pick up some of the slack left by hardy leaving.
Rd.5- WR ORE- Josh Huff- decent receiver good depth. If we sign Nicks in free agency we go safety here. S-Hakeem Smith- Louisville
Rd.6- TE Utah- Jake Murphy- If Brandon Williams doesn't pan out give this guy a shot.
Rd.7- OLB Notre Dame- Prince Shembo- versatile lb with a good motor. Would learn from the best Thomas "Mr. Comeback" Davis.
There are just too many possibilities. Whatever happens next season is going to be very interesting.
