NFL Pro Bowl 2014: Jordan Gross replaces Joe Staley

We're goin' to Hawaii! - Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

Today it was announced that Carolina Panthers left tackle Jordan Gross will replace San Francisco 49ers left tackle Joe Staley in the 2014 Pro Bowl. This will be Gross’ third appearance in the all star game – he previously played in the 2008 and 2010 Pro Bowl.

Gross definitely deserves his spot – he had one of the best years of his career as a run and pass blocker, and was the Panthers best offensive lineman this season.

Gross will join six other Panthers in Hawaii: Cam Newton, Luke Kuechly, Greg Hardy, Ryan Kalil, Mike Tolbert and J.J Jansen. The seven representatives ties the Panthers franchise record -- they also sent seven players to the Pro Bowl in 1996.
