We've already seen the signs starting with the Monday Night football win over the Patriots. The stadium was loud and proud but that was expected. I think all 32 NFL teams fan bases make the most of MNF football no matter the circumstances. So I wasn't really surprised the atmosphere was amped up.
Yet that has carried over every home game since until reaching it's current peak in the key victory over the Saints. Then the unthinkable happened, something I don't think I've ever seen from the Panther fan base in it's 18 seasons. We took over a stadium on the road! In the Panthers last game of the season with the Falcons limped to the offseason the Panthers took over the Georgia Dome and I took notice watching from home. I'm sure many of our fans were newbies to cheering in a dome which obviously amplifies the sound as compared to BoA's open air. Every big Panther play resulted in a roar that had me wondering if we were actually at home rather than the road team.
I fully expect Panthers fans to set franchise noise records tomorrow at BoA. In fact I think we will see a transition going forward from 'wine & cheese' home games to 'loud and proud' or some other catch-phrase that better describes what I'm referring too. The stadium will be rocking well before kick off and proceed to hours, that is my prediction.
So does anyone have a catch-phrase, GIF or something else to describe the atmosphere in BoA these days? We did coin 'The Kraken' nickname so I think we can be a trendsetter here as well.
