Update: We continue to receive multiple reports that fans are finding tickets through the Ticketmaster app.
Five years have passed since the Carolina Panthers hosted a playoff game, and judging from the turnout on Wednesday morning they were in high demand.
Ticketmaster.com were showing seats sold out as early at 10:05 a.m. -- just five minutes after initially going on sale. Some fans on Twitter are reporting getting sellout notifications as early as 10:01 a.m. Tickets are already showing on the secondary market, prompting obvious skepticism and blaming ticket-buying bots for the issue.
7,000 playoff tickets were available for public sale Wednesday morning, the rest had been allocated for private sale and PSL holders.
Some users are reporting luck using the Ticketmaster app, rather than trying through Ticketmaster.com -- others have already turned to the secondary market, buying from StubHub or other outlets.
If you were able to buy tickets (or not) please let us know in the comments below, and explain your experience trying to purchase tickets.
