I've been in Tampa this week, and it's been very interesting listening to the radios blowing up over their 0-3 start and then yesterday the benching of Josh Freeman in favor of rookie Mike Glennon. Here are some observations you might find interesting: A lot of hate for Greg Sciano, who is 7-12 since he's been at Tampa. Many think he's lost the team, and benching Freeman is a CYA move by him to buy more time. Nobody trusts him. Despite many here who doubt RR, the players love him and play for him. Doesn't seem to be the case in Tampa. There are some implicating that Josh Freeman might have some substance issues. He slept through the team photo, and is known to be a big party guy. His completion % is down around 45% from around 60 before Sciano came in. He was not named captain this year (some think that Sciano rigged the vote) and is likely to be traded cheap. He's in the last year of his contract and has not stepped up in his contract year. Most agree it's not all Freeman's fault as he's had dropped passes and doesn't have a tight end. Freeman has his supporters, including Booger McFarlane, on the Booger and Rick show in the afternoons. Bottom line is they paid big bucks for Revis and Golston to win now and are now hitching their wagon to a rookie QB. They are in big turmoil right now. My opinion is the Schiano (who's friends with Belicek) is way out of his element. He's Belicheck without the skill or charm :). This is the guy who ordered team to play smashmouth on the victory formation for the Giants last year that ticked off Coughlin last year. We should beat this time twice this year with our front seven against a rookie QB.
