All in all I'm just plain sick right now, as I'm sure the rest of the Carolina Kittens fanbase is. No matter what happened throughout the game, one thing will forever stand out in my mind. Why was kicking a 39 FG deep in Bills territory when Bills had no TOs a good decision? Am I wrong but doesn't a short yardage 4th down conversion by your offense win the football game? Does being up six make any kind of difference? I mean being up 3 means they need a TD to beat you just as much as being up 6. If you dont convert the 4th down doesnt the ball still end up being around where the bills would have started their drive if a FG was made and a kickoff resulted in a touchback?
Im so utterly confused. Defense should have stepped up on that last drive, YES. But it didnt even have to be that way. I love this team i really do. I sit down here at my duty station in Alabama and watch the game rooting for my home team to win and make it to the playoffs. I wont give up on this team but being 2-0 was less than 7 points away. instead we are 0-2 and staring at another uphill battle.
FINAL QUESTION(s): IF we fire Rivera which it WILL happen eventually, is there anyone we can get this year to step in? Is there anyone on the coaching staff worth putting in an Interim Head Coach role?
