Question for the Week: Boom or Bust.

Training camp is in full swing and this Friday is the Panthers first pre-season game against the Bears here at Bank of America Stadium. So with that in mind let’s put on our Nostradamus’ hat and see who you think will be a boom or bust on the Panthers team this season.

BOOM: Armanti Edwards.

Yeah, I know the whole Armanti always looks good in TC bit, but I have to disagree with that argument. In past training camps AE always looked BETTER, not good and for AE that was as good as you was going to get when you are trying to convert a QB from a DVI team to a wide receiver in the NFL. That said, this year Armanti is not looking better, he is looking good. In three years AE has 5 receptions for 121 yards and zero TD. I say Edwards will get 20 recptions for 400 yards and 4 TDs. Is he a game changing WR, no, but it's a whole lot better then his "better" in TC.

BUST: Captain Munnerlyn.

Word on the street is Munnerlyn is penciled in as our #2 CB. Word also on the street is the stock market will crumble and fall and armageddon is arriving earlier then expected. Captain is not, I repeat, is not a outside cornerback. He never was and he never will be. He is a great (or at the least very good) nickle back. Put him in that position and Cap will do great things for the team. Put his 5'8 frame against a 6'2 WR on the outside and you will hear so much moaning from the crowd you would think that someone was cutting the stadium's grass during the game. Heart and soul is one thing, something that Munnerlyn has a lot of, but heart and soul will not make you taller or faster, something Munnerlyn does not have a lot of. So with all that said, if they put Cap in as a outside CB he will fail....again.

That's my two cents, what's yours?
