Hidden Gem

I know it's pre-season but Cam hasn't impressed me and its his 3rd year. He hasn't shown any leadership qualities and his body language is terrible. Even when the offensive line isn't performing he has to remain calm and not get a attitude like a middle school kid. He has a great arm but I only see him complete timing routes and he can't read defenses. Everyone uses the excuse "oh he was rookie of the year, his numbers were the best ever for a rookie QB and he's a pro bowler," but that was one year. Look at Vince Young he's very simlair to Newton I believe, both were rookies of the year and dual threat QBs. But teams are figuring Cam out just as they figured out Young. Now teams have film to scout Cam. Teams have seen that Cam struggles reading defenses, just like Vince. If I was coach Rivera I wouldn't hesitate to give Derek Anderson a shot if the going gets tough. Not many know who Anderson is, but he could easily be a starting QB on a NFL roster somewhere. He didn't play a lot his rookie year but his sophmore year his numbers were stellar. Anderson basically a rookie, threw for 3,787 yards and 29 touchdowns, ran in 3 tds, and was a pro bowler. Cam's rookie year he threw for for 3,869 yards and 19tds. He also had 14 rushing tds and 706 rushing yards. Derek Anderson passing wise is just as good if not better than Cam, you can watch his film for yourself. Also Anderson didn't even get his first start until 3 games into the season and in fact he did all this with the Browns, mind you . Derek is no slouch and if Cam doesn't improve I don't see any problem with DA getting a start. He can lead a team, he's smart, he doesn't make mistakes and he's a game manager.
