It's time for the championship match: Chris Gamble vs. Brad Hoover.
How they got here:
Chris Gamble defeated Thomas Davis 65%-35%
Brad Hoover defeated Charles Johnson 56%-44%
Here's the case for Chris Gamble:
Chris Gamble is one of the most successful cover corners in recent NFL history, yet he was always under-appreciated because he didn't rack up a lot of interceptions. For many fans, his ability to take away the #1 receiving option for the opposing offense wasn't good enough because he didn't rack up sexy numbers on a stat sheet, and for that reason he holds the #1 seed in the underrated bracket.
And, here's the case for Brad Hoover:
Brad Hoover wasn't one to rack up any flashy stats or get major media attention, but he was an integral part of the Panthers success running the football during his tenure in Carolina. He opened up running lanes for his backfield mates better than anyone else in franchise history, as evidenced by the fact that the Panthers still haven't found a lead blocker to replace him since he was released at the end of the 2009 season.
Alright, it's time to open up the poll and find out who comes out on top. This is a tough vote, but it has to be done. So, who do you think was more underrated -- Chris Gamble or Brad Hoover? Cast your vote now!
