Today we're starting the 3rd round with Chris Gamble vs. Thomas Davis.
How they got here:
Chris Gamble defeated Mike Minter 58%-42%
Thomas Davis defeated Will Witherspoon 65%-35%
Here's the case for Chris Gamble:
Chris Gamble is one of the most successful cover corners in recent NFL history, yet he was always underappreciated because he didn't rack up a lot of interceptions. For many fans, his ability to take away the #1 receiving option for the opposing offense wasn't good enough because he didn't rack up sexy numbers on a stat sheet, and for that reason he holds the #1 seed in the underrated bracket.
And, here's the case for Thomas Davis:
Thomas Davis, when healthy, has been one of the best under-the-radar players on the Panthers defense since he was drafted in 2005. His thrice-injured ACL kept him on the sideline for 2.5 seasons, but he was able to beat the odds and contribute to the 2012 team while looking like his old self, while still not garnering the media attention he deserves.
Alright, it's time to open up the poll and find out who comes out on top. This is a tough vote, but it has to be done. So, who do you think was more underrated -- Chris Gamble or Thomas Davis? Cast your vote now!
Just as it did with the second round of the underrated bracket, voting will close in 24 hours.
