2013 NFL Draft: Video of Keenan Allen's routes

USA TODAY Sports

They're not perfect, but hey -- they're better than nothing.

Using my phone I captured as much as I could. Trying not to get in the way of the scouts from the Bengals, Texans, and Colts -- some started later than I wanted them to, some are a little shaky, but c'est la vie.

Video breakdown

1. This is an out route he should have grabbed, and Keenan knows it. Upset he let it get away, Allen pounds the wall. Ricky Proehl tried to blame himself, but this was probably the worst of the day for him.

2. The second video is an interesting one. Expecting a 35-yard skinny post, Ricky overthrew Allen by a huge amount -- and he still managed to make up the ground and haul it in. This led to both scouts crediting Allen, and poking fun at Proehl for his pass. I think it's a pretty impressive throw for a retired wide receiver.

3. For a second time Allen is given a chance at the out route he failed in the first video -- and makes the catch he should have initially.

4. The last video is an impressive one-handed catch on a ball that was extremely wide from Proehl. Probably Allen's best catch of the day.
