@CatScratchReadr Wrapup - 4/9/13

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

We've been asking Panthers fans some tough questions over on the CSR Twitter Page, and they have come through with some top notch answers. Let's take a look at some of the best from last week.

Over on the CSR Twitter Page, I've started a Question of the Day series to get Panthers fans talking about the team during the slow days of the offseason.

Although this edition is posting on a Tuesday my plan is to share the best of the best from the previous week on either Sunday or Monday during the offseason, and once the season starts I'll probably move the series to Friday to accommodate the busy schedule we have from covering games. Of course this all depends on how much activity the QotD generates, because if fans stop answering the questions then I won't have anything to recap, and this series will die a slow and painful death.

At any rate, that hasn't happened yet, so here's a recap of last week with some of the best tweets from our fans.

Friday's question was my favorite of the week. You can see it below:

I liked this question because it gives fans an opportunity to play GM. (Not that anyone does that.) Listed below are a few of my favorite responses:

Of course, that one's not really serious, but it's one of my favorites because it led to this response:

We all know that would never happen in the real world, but it's still fun to think about right?

Note: Most of the serious answers were to replace Brandon LaFell with Julio Jones and Geoff Hangartner with Carl Nicks. Both of those would instantly improve the team, so I can totally understand them being the most popular answers.

One of the more serious questions this week was this:

I liked this one because it allowed everyone to think back to their favorite players from back in the day.

Here are a few of the best answers:

The thought of Olsen and Walls on the field together is just flat out awesome.

Dan decided to go on a shopping spree and add quality players at multiple positions. But, I didn't set a player limit, so his answer was within the rules. I like the way the thinks on this, don't you?

I would love to see Minter on the field with the rest of our young secondary. He would be just what they needed back there.

The last one I admit is a softball question, but it was still fun to see how everyone would justify their answer:

Here are a few of the responses:

Of course it's going to be Smitty, right? Well, here's a reason that made me even more proud he's a Panther than I already was ( I didn't know that was possible until I read this response.):

And, just to prove that all answers weren't "Steve Smith", here's Edgar with a list of other favorites:

Well, that's it for this edition of @CatScratchReadr Wrapup. I'll be back next week with more tweets from our fans. If you haven't done it already, you can follow us on Twitter to join in on the fun!
