With the 2013 NFL DRAFT fast approaching the panthers still need to address a few keys positions on both sides of the ball.
WR: Smitty's getting old but still has at least a few years as the panthers No. 1 WR. So drafting someone like Patterson-Allen-Austin with the 14th pick will allow Smitty to move to the slot. Where he'll be more effective and will cause more mismatches. LaFell is a solid No.2 and has a breakout season.
OL: The panthers O-line struggled with run blocking but it was a mess due to injuries. With kalil back at Center, Gross in his 11th, Silatolu whos much improved and drafting a OT in the 5th they'll be solid in 2013.
DB: injuries and Haruki Nakamura explains 2012. And even with a lack of experience this squad still held their own. With adding some depth this off season to an already young and hungry backfield the competitions gonna make them even better... Godfrey the only reliable safety so drafting one in the 2nd or 4th make sense.
DL: Johnson and Hardy killed it 2012 both getting double digits sacks. Frank Alexander showed some promise his rookie season geting 2.5 sacks. Resigning Dwan Edwards was great but the middle of the line still needs to be addressed in the draft either in the 2nd or 4th.
1ST: CORDARRELLE PATTERSON
2ND: KAWANN SHORT
4TH: TERRON ARMSTEAD
5TH: TYRANN MATHIEU
6TH: RICK WAGNER
TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK. I KNOW IT WAS A LITTLE UNREALISTIC BUT YOU NEVER KNOW ...
