The word is they gave up this year's #13 overall and a conditional 4th rounder in 2014:
Darrelle Revis trade: Cornerback signs $96 million contract with Buccaneers - SBNation.com
There's a catch, however. Revis' new contract does not include any guaranteed money, an unusual move for a player of Revis' talent level. It's a smart move for the Bucs, though, as they won't be on the hook for anything if Revis is hit by injuries again. He's currently rehabbing from a torn ACL. Details of the contract are now emerging -- Revis will earn $16 million per year; $13 million of that is the base salary, with the rest coming in roster and workout bonuses.
Zero guaranteed money is very surprising and obviously good for the team. I guess Revis is confident he won't get hurt again. Something tells me he is going to regret not having anything guaranteed.
This is a trade with big risk for both the Bucs and Revis. The Jets on the other hand get rid of a disgruntled player more a fair price I think given he is coming off of injury and is on the back half of his career.
So what do you think?
