I'm going to make this very short and sweet, very unorganized and very very unedited. From the beginning of my time on this website, I have wholeheartedly supported Captain Munnerlyn and a few others. Even when everyone else was crying for their heads. My main defense was they are not zone system players. In other words, the Carolina defensive staff was trying to put the square block in the triangle hole. It's not gonna work. This article from bleacher report talks about recent Panthers castaway Darius Butler. Apparently he's making quite a name for himself in a new system. Also,Captain held his own this year when everyone told me he couldn't and never would and I said he just needed time to adjust to the zone defense. I have tried to explain that all the man-coverage players that were drafted in the FOXY ERA will not work well in the soft zone of the RIV-ERA (hahahahaha see what I did there?) I know most of y'all hate opinions contrary to your own and block them out like a Bieber song so I don't much care what response I get.... because y'all are hard headed AF

As his role increased toward the middle of the season, Butler began to show exactly why he was a second-round pick out of UConn. By season's end, he had limited his opponents to a quarterback passer rating of 39.5, which was the second-best of all cornerbacks in the league. He also allowed only one receiving touchdown all year while piling up a career-high four interceptions .
