BW is probably super disappointed because he's such a Madden player! har-dee-har-har
The sun set on the first round of EA Sports' Madden cover voting, and the Carolina Panthers got (as the kids say) rofl-stomped. Luke Kuechly was knocked out by Ray Rice, who received 82% of the vote, while poor Jake Delhomme got utterly decimated by Joe Montana -- who finished with 95%. The Panthers are knocked out, but who should you channel your energy towards now?
The silver lining is that the New Orleans Saints are knocked out too. Not that Deuce McAllister and Jimmy Graham ever deserved to be in the mix, but nonetheless. The Buccaneers are also down to one representative, as Derrick Brooks was knocked out by Ray Lewis. Obviously we don't want any division rivals in the mix, so here's you primer for round two:
- Vote for Terrell Davis over Deion Sanders (Yeah, good luck getting neon Deon KO'd)
- Vote for Arian Foster over Julio Jones
- Vote for Robert Griffin III over Doug Martin
Okay, that takes care of the division guys. Now we need to look for a new horse to bet on. Here I think it's apropos to find the least qualified player and ride that horsey into the finals. Alternatively, there are a couple of situations that could be downright hilarious.
- Darrelle Revis, because he could be traded as the cover is being released.
- Rob Gronkowski, because... Gronk.
Is there anyone else you think is more deserving of the cover?
