Former Carolina Panthers fullback and longtime fan favorite, Brad Hoover was hired by Union Academy in Monroe, NC yesterday to take on the football head coaching duties at the school. Hoover who played 9 years for the Cats has been away from football since retiring in 2009. Hoover was introduced at a press conference yesterday afternoon in front of UA players, parents, staff and fans. Union Academy is the only charter school in Union County.
