Here's Frank helping up Jay Cutler, who presumably just got creamed. - Scott Boehm

Like Derek Anderson's quarterbacking, Dave Gettleman is taking his offensive line seriously.

Is desperate need of depth on the offensive line, the Carolina Panthers are visiting with Frank Omiyale today according to Adam Caplan.

Omiyale appeared in three games for the Seattle Seahawks last year, and hasn't been a full-season starter since 2010. He played in Charlotte in 2007 and 08, playing 11 total games. Like all of Carolina's FA signings, you know he's either a former Charger, or Bear. So which one is it?

That's right, he played for the Chicago Bears from 2009-11. The 30-year-old offensive lineman is primarily an option at right guard, though he has experience at multiple positions along the offensive line. It's easy to mock the potential pickups, but at least they're players with NFL experience.

Last season necessity meant that the Panthers needed to start undrafted free agents when true starters fell to injury. It hurt the offense, and caused Cam Newton to be under duress for half the season.
