SBN Interviews Cam Newton at the Super Bowl

Newton gave us 60 seconds to answer a couple questions centered around his new shoe and the Hyundai Sante Fe, SBN's sponsor.

Newton leaves the one part of the last question unanswered. For some reason I can't get the embed to work so here is the link to the video where you can comment there or here, whichever you prefer.

On a related topic so as to not make this the shortest post of all time, one writer says Cam needs to give up his Super Cam pose:

Carolina Panthers: It's Time for Cam Newton to Grow Up

Superman is indestructible, and this season Newton showed that he could be defeated. I am not saying that he has to completely get rid of the celebration, just put it on hold for a while until his team makes the playoffs and starts winning games on a big level. Another thing I would like to see the Panthers stop doing is giving him the ball on the one yard line to score. Yes, it works almost every time, but sooner or later he is going to stretch out and get popped, and now you have an injured franchise quarterback. The Panthers don’t have a good backup, and them winning games starts and ends with Cam Newton.

The writer would have scored more points with me if he had just stuck to his guns but the whole 'put it on hold' backtracking lost me. Of course he's not indestructible, he went 6-10 his first season. Besides, I would venture it's not the pose that is the problem, its the timing.

If you are down 31-7 with 5 minutes left in the game and you score a TD, the Super Cam pose is over the top. Save it for a score that means something. Now I could do without the little pointing thing he does after getting a first down. I've never really liked that one much mainly because he does it every time. Again, it's the timing. Save it for the key first downs, not every single one.

Thoughts?
