I'm sure with that last question I might get blasted by everyone who knows every top players birth place down to time and hospital (kidding). In all honesty though I do expect in a long descriptive comment as to why it's not a good idea. Moving on though. As I've been reading it seems no one can agree on a WR in the first round. I've read Keenan Allen to Coradelle Patterson. Everyone seems pleased with DT although I really like Floyd or Richardson, not really liking Star Lotuielei.
Anyway back to making a case for Eifert. He is another big target and even though might not be the sexy pick like a WR he gives this team a dangerous weapon. I'm simply thinking of the New England approach although our Hernandez would be in the form of two players (Tolbert and Eifert), it would give this team a unique dynamic. Two TE's that can get verticle and would both be a nightmare to cover allowing the focus to go towards the middle of the field and possibly opening things up for our receivers.
Personally I dont believe we need a true dominant receiver, I think we could be a formidable offense running two tight end sets because there really isn't too many teams that could slow down two big guys in the middle of the field. It would allow maybe someone like Pilares to step into the line up catch short yardage passes and get YAC. The reason this works so well for NE is they dont ask alot from their recievers. If we ask the same out of Lafell, Smith and whoever that slot receiver be we could be a pretty effective offense. Teams would definately need to account for our run and pass.
Anyway I'd like to thank everyone who reads and would be more than willing to discuss some more in the comments thanks!
