Best Combine predictors of NFL success for each position

Draftmetrics (at NationalFootballPost.com) just posted today the Combine test numbers that best predict future NFL success at each position. Some of these numbers are expected, while others seem to come out of left field, but remember these numbers are based upon every Combine going back to 1999, and the players ability to become NFL starters, so they can't be just a fluke. This is an update from my previous post about Combine Red Flags for each position, so it might help to read that as well.

I won't explain how they arrived at these "multiplyer" numbers (it's complicated and boring), but you can check it out using this link. Shorthand version, a "multiplyer" number of 2.00 is a good indicator of future NFL success, and the higher the number, the better / stronger that indicator is. Rather than reproducing both charts (you can use the link for those), I will only show those Combine test for each position with a "multiplyer" number of 2.00 or higher (unless the highest number for a position is less than a 2.00).

On a side note, if you've never heard of a "Flying 20" (I hadn't either), my best guess is that it's the final 20 yards of their 40 yard dash.

Most Predicive Combine test of future success (starters for 3 or more seasons):

RB's - Flying 20 (4.25), 40 time (3.50), 10 yard split (2.42), vertical jump (2.19), and broad jump (2.09)

WR's - 20 yard shuttle (2.36) and 40 time (2.06)

TE's - Bench reps (3.44), broad jump (3.28), and 20 yard shuttle (2.21)

C's - 20 yard shuttle (3.65) and vertical jump (2.50)

OG's - Vertical jump (3.72), flying 20 (3.14), 40 time (2.75), 20 yard shuttle (2.71), 20 yard split (2.23), 10 yard split (2.04), and broad jump (2.04)

OT's - Flying 20 (2.32), 40 time (2.31), 20 yard split (2.06), 10 yard split (2.03)
