Charles Johnson is out, that much we know. The Panthers defensive end was ruled out Friday while he continues to recover from an MCL sprain sustained when Marcus Cannon leg whipped him on Monday Night Football. It's a huge loss for Carolina, but Tampa Bay could be hurting too.
Darrelle Revis is "questionable" and has only participated in team walkthroughs this week. If he's unable to play there isn't a competent cornerback to cover Steve Smith, which will be fun to watch. It seems only fair that both team should be down their top defenders, but that will be up to the football gods.
It's time for Greg Hardy to really step up. He was largely ineffective against the Miami Dolphins, with Mario Addison being the far better defensive end. If Johnson can't go Hardy will be the focal point of the pass rush once again, and it's unrealistic to hinge hopes on Addison breaking out again.
Running back has become really dicey. Both DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart are "questionable," with Williams being the more serious. It seems unlikely he'll play while he recovers from a quad injury.
Here are the full injury reports from both teams.
