Panthers DE Johnson Declared Out for Bucs Game

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

The Panthers will again be without their top pass rusher this Sunday.

I'm hoping Rivera is being cautious to ensure Johnson will be ready for the Saints:

This most likely means Mario Addison will get a second start, who made the most of it last weekend against the Dolphins. I think against the Bucs just as it was with the Dolphins the Panthers will need to get pressure.

As far as RB DeAngelo Williams, his status remains questionable:

It's times like this having two starter caliber RBs in not a luxury, it's a necessity. Stewart should be ready to carry a full load this week. If not, Rivera says Kenjon Barner might work his way into the game plan if Williams can't go. Stewart and Tolbert should be able to handle it I would hope.
