Panthers vs. Saints flexed to NBC Sunday Night Football

Mike Ehrmann

The Panthers' biggest game of the 2013 season has been flexed to prime time.

According to an article by Darin Gantt at Pro Football Talk, the Panthers are making a return to prime time.

The NFL has announced the the Panthers/Saints matchup on December 8 has been flexed to the 8:30 p.m. time slot, replacing the Falcons vs. Packers game that was originally slated for Sunday Night Football.

The NFC South showdown has been flexed into Sunday Night Football for Week 14.

At the moment, the Saints (9-2) have a one-game lead over the Panthers (8-3), so the game will be crucial for the division title.

- Gantt

With both the Panthers and the Saints battling for the lead in the NFC South and both the Falcons and Packers having less than desirable results so far this season, it's a no brainer for the NFL to make this decision.

On one hand, this is great news because it gives the Panthers another opportunity to impress a national audience if they play well against the Saints. On the other hand, however, it means we have to wait all day for Sunday night.

What do you think Panthers fans? Are you glad the game is flexed, or would you rather not have to wait around all day for the game to start?
