For 10 years now, I have spent the entire football season with my youngest son and his fiancé watching the Carolina Panthers EVERY time they play. Huge fan - my house is blue, mailbox stand blue with black mailbox, panther helmet giant sticker on my garage, big panther flag on flag pole, smaller garden panther flag, and my newest edition is a giant panther wreath on my front door. Most of the time I don't even care about the other teams, but this year that has changed... With our current record, how the other teams play could make a difference in getting us to the playoffs.
So last Sunday, we watched the Cowboys/Lions game and for the first time in my life I wanted Dallas to win. The kids were fast and furious on their smart phones keep up with their Fantasy teams. To my shock and horror, I hear his girl screaming for Detroit players on her FF team, Drew Brees to throw touchdowns, and someone else on the Saints to get more yards. Whoa! What? Since when does a Fantasy Football team become more important than real games? I was very annoyed and am contemplating banning her from the wings and other homemade game day goodies - maybe she can just Fantasize about them! Just kidding. Kinda. Anyway for you FF players, is your Fantasy team more important to you than the real games?
