It won't be as easy as you think. Stats won't really help being it was a low scoring affair and the offense did not impress. So we have players from all three phases who had good games to pick from. So here are your options:
WR Steve Smith 6 receptions for 63 yards...Smitty had a bad drop but when we needed the critical 3rd down catch he made a ocuple of them
RB DeAngelo Williams 8 rushes for 46 yards and one TD...Williams made the offensive play of the day with his 27 yard scamper just before the half.
KR Ted Ginn 3 punt returns with an average of 21 yards per return; 21 yard average on 2 kick off returns...Ginn went into the locker room because of cramps but came back out and made a huge return to set up the Panthers winning points.
LB Luke Kuechly 11 combined tackles and 1 sack...Luke was again all over the field and was the key to shutting down the 49ers running game.
DE Charles Johnson 4 combined tackles and 1.5 sacks...CJ was a beast getting pressure all day
LB Thomas Davis 4 tackles and 1 FF...Davis continues to make heads up plays at critical moments, like the forced fumble on RB Kendall Hunter
DT Dwan Edwards 1 sack 2 tackles, one for a loss...Edwards stepped up at key times to stop 49er drives
K Graham Gano for hitting the 53 yard game winner after missing his first FG of the season earlier
There were plenty of other players who made some big plays like LB AJ Klein, ST Colin Jones, DE Greg Hardy, P Brad Nortman and CB Drayton Florence.
So make your best pick in the poll below.
