The Carolina Panthers are taking a cautious approach for how they handle tight end Greg Olsen, who continues to deal with a foot injury. Meanwhile in Tampa Bay, the Buccaneers continue to have injury issues on offense.
Olsen was not in a walking boot Monday, as he's been the past two weeks with a foot injury -- but the Panthers elected to hold him out of practice as a precaution. It's the right move, and there's no sense in risking Olsen before he's 100-percent ready. At this point we know the player he is, and he can be ready at a moment's notice.
Doug Martin will be the injury talking point this week. Despite a report indicating the running back tore his labrum, Buccaneers' head coach Greg Schiano continues to insist the injury is not season-ending. Martin did not practice Monday, and is almost certainly not playing.
