Sure fire 1st round picks like Texas A&M WR Mike Evans or Clemson WR Sammy Watkins haven't matched his production yet. Mid-first round picks such as Vanderbilt's Jordan Matthews and the heavily under preforming USC WR Marquise Lee are even rated higher then him. This man not only leads the nation in TD's and Receiving Yards but he also leads the nation in Reception's and Yards Per Game to. I give to you Oregon States JR WR Brandon Cooks.
Lets look at these 5 players stats and compare them against each other.
Mike Evans: 6GM, 32Rec, 737Yds and 5TD's
Sammy Watkins: 6GM, 36Rec,582Yds and 4TD's
Jordan Matthews: 6GM, 47Rec, 709Yds and 5TD's
Marquise Lee: 5GM, 24Rec, 385Yds and 1TD
Brandon Cooks: 6GM, 63Rec, 944Yds and 11TD's
So if Cooks Nation leading 157.3Y/G hold's he'll have 1888 Rec/Yds this season. Sure he doesn't have the size like 6'1 205 Sammy Watkins, 6'5 225 Mike Evans, 6'3 205 Jordan Matthews or 6'0 195 Marquise Lee. He's only 5'10 181lbs but as Smitty has proven as long as you got speed and the ability to catch damn near anything thrown your way you don't need to a big hulking receiver. He's also not a 1 season wonder either. In 2012 he had 67Rec for 1151Yds and 5TD and in 2011 he had 31Rec for 391Yds and 3TD while splitting catches with Steeler draft pick Markus Wheaton.
Now I know I'm no Pro-Scout but I know good Football Players and he's 1 of the best right now.
