I think the underdog status plays right into the Ravens hands. They have been riding the 'Win One More for the Retiring Ray Lewis' bandwagon throughout the playoffs and it has paid off so far. Their #12 defense is playing like a #1 defense and the offense is avoiding some of the big mistakes that have plagued playoff runs in the past. But will it be enough?

The 49er defense is still one of the best even when not playing over their heads. They control the ball and have just enough weapons in the passing game to keep any defense honest. Further 2nd year QB Colin Kaepernick is playing like a seasoned vet, making good decisions while protecting the football. Will he finally crack under the immense pressure of the Super Bowl?

I'm thinking Kaepernick is bound to have a bad game sooner or later and I think its sooner. Ravens S Ed Reed was not on that previous SB champion Raven team so he has to think this might be his one and only shot for a ring. I look for Reed to make an impact play in this game that helps determine the outcome.
