Hello everybody! I am back with my annual season ending highlight video! 5 weeks ago, I was stressing about being able to find any highlights to even make one. Now however, I am sad to say I had to leave out a handful of highlights being that there were so many from these past 5 or so weeks!
In most of my highlight vids, I usually tend to leave narration out. However, this time I felt an urge to "tell a story" in the first minute of this video. Most of us can agree that a lot of people thought this would be a playoff year for our team. In the end, we finished 7-9, 1 win better than last season, and 7 out of 9 losses coming withing 6 points or less within the final seconds of the game. The thought alone of "If Cam could've just hit Hartsock versus Seattle", or "If Nakamura could've just stopped the Falcons in Week 3" will forever haunt us.
Rather than having to think about the "what if's" for the rest of the year, let's keep in mind that this team had 0 Pro Bowlers, many injuries - 18 on IR (almost half of which were starters), and are now under the radar. This sets us up for a perfect chance at redemption in 2013. We finished this season off a 4 game winning streak, with quality wins at home against Atlanta and on the road in New Orleans. Not only did we finish with a 4 game win streak, but we also had jumped up from ground zero, to second place in the NFC South. If that isn't a confidence booster, I don't know what is.
This off-season will be very interesting, whether it's with Rivera or not. We may not have a lot of money to go out and spend on big free agents such as Greg Jennings or Dwayne Bowe, but in the NFL anything is possible, and with the Carolina Panthers, you can never count anything out! Keep Pounding! Go Panthers!
