Christian Petersen
Double Trouble has already tweeted their approval of this move.
Skipper (63) was the Panthers RB coach from 2002 to 2010 but was not retained after John Fox left. He's been with the Titans since but I guess he liked it here better as its simply another lateral move. It's obvious the Panther RBs are happy:
RB Coach Jim skipper is Baaack! #panthernation #LETSGO !!!

D-Will chimes in too:
Shula hire well deserved nothing changes for cam and this offense and coach skip coming back makes things even better! No disrespect to set!

I'm not exactly sure what he means by 'No disrespect to set!' but I assume it means he's not dissing on anyone else with his tweet?
In similar news the Panthers promoted two other coaches on Friday in addition to the promotion of Mike Shula. Ricky Proehl is now the WRs coach and Richard Rodgers is no longer a temporary:
Panthers promote Shula to offensive coordinator | CharlotteObserver.com
Quarterbacks coach Mike Shula, who will take over for Chudzinski as the offensive play-caller, was one of three Panthers’ assistants promoted to bigger roles Friday. Assistant receivers coach Ricky Proehl will take over for fired receivers coach Fred Graves, and interim special teams coordinator Richard Rodgers had the “interim” removed from his title.
If the intent was to satisfy the players then Ron Rivera has done well. Fans on the other hand might have been looking for bigger, more successful names, particularly at the OC spot.
Personally I'm okay with whoever Rivera wants. He knows he doesn't have the time to 'coach up' any younger coaches in what will be a 'playoffs or you're out season'. The Panthers locker room will be a pressure cooker next season. So it might be all glitter ponies right now but it won't be long before things get serious.
