Carolina Panthers GM: Dave Gettleman press conference

Streeter Lecka

Starting live at 11:30 a.m. ET -- here are your ways to hear from the Panthers new general manager.

It has been a long time since Carolina Panthers fans heard anyone other than Marty Hurney's voice when it came to the general manager position. For ten years he was the voice of the front office, and in recent years made himself more available to the public. Now a new GM is in town, and in his 11:30 a.m. presser we'll finally hear from the new GM.

It's unrealistic to expect he'll have a full plan for how to turn around the Panthers, but it's possible we will get a sense for what his first moves will be. Likely skewed towards his past, and what he sees in the current roster -- it gives fans a chance to understand Dave Gettleman a little bit better.

Somewhat of an enigma, he's seen as a 'glue' guy. One who did a lot of things for every organization he'd been with, and was integral in their successes. Hopefully this is the start of a new, successful era in Panthers football. Tell us what you think, and sound off in the comments.

This is now an open thread!
