So I'm going to throw out my predictions and you can add yours as well.
1:00 pm Seahawks vs. Falcons (-2.5)
The 13-3 Falcons on paper are a superior team to the 12-5 Seawhawks but that's where their edge ends. The visiting Seawhawks have two key advantages in this match-up. First they have one of the best defenses in the league that specializes in shutting down passing offenses. The Seahawk CBs are very physical off the line and do a good job playing man to man coverage.
The Seahawks also bring a strong running game that can chew up the clock and reduce the opportunities the Falcons offense and QB Matt Ryan have to score. If you could not already tell then I'm feeling an upset here.
Prediction: Seahawks 24 Falcons 20
4:30 pm: Texans vs. Patriots (-9.5)
I would love nothing better than another upset in this game but considering the Patriots just whipped the Texans a few weeks ago in Houston I don't see how they win in Foxboro. For the Texans to have a chance they have to run the ball a lot and run it well to keep Tom Brady off the field. Arian Foster is certainly a guy that can do that. When they get in the red zone they have to score TDs and not settle for FGs.
On defense they obviously have to get pressure on Tom Brady, but it needs to come up the middle to keep his TEs from having a huge day. That was a tall task a few weeks ago and it will be on Sunday. Beyond that they simply have to avoid the mistakes that make it easy for the Patriots. Easier said than done and I just don't see it happening.
Prediction: Patriots 35 Texans 10
