The Panthers enter the game having swept the season series last year. However, the Bucs have changed tremendously. Add WR Vincent Jackson, RB Doug Martin, Head Coach Greg Schiano, and SS Mark Barron.

The Panthers will not be handed the victory. They aren't expecting a handout either. They'll pound the Bucs to a until they "blackout". (irony)... alright:

When Carolina is on Offense:

Exploit Linebackers- The Panthers need to exploit the Bucs weak linebacking corps, and avoid being too aggressive with their secondary compromising of Mark Barron, Ronde Barber, and Aqib Talib. To do this, the Panthers will look to pass conservatively, run aggressively, hope to set-up medium play action passes. This cause the safeties to drop into the box, and the Panthers will use Lafell and Smith on the deep bomb.

WRs not named Steve Smith- Lafell and Murphy need to emerge in this game. As does Greg Olsen! The Bucs are carrying 7, yes, 7 Cornerbacks. They have a veteran in Eric Wright, and Myron Lewis as the nickel. Talib will be over Smith, but these guys need to get open so Cam will target them.

Amini Silatolu and the OL- The Bucs have a solid pass-rush including backup DT Corvey Irvin. sound familiar? the Offensive Line needs to continue its strong preseason, but it needs to be the best. Cam needs time to throw, DW needs space to run, and the blitz needs to be picked up. Expect QB spys from the linebackers.

Field Position Battle- The Bucs have great special teams, Michael Koenen, and Connor Barth are pretty good. If our rookies can come in and give the Bucs the long field, and keep the Panthers from having 80 yard drives, this will be great. Medlock needs to shine, its going to be a nice day outside, the grass is waiting for him. Take Advantage Medlock.

When the Panthers are on Defense:

Cover Play-Action: The Bucs love play-action, this gives them more time to throw, and Freeman has legs.

Keuchly vs. Dallas Clark- LUUUUUKEEEE. Along with Vincent Jackson, Dallas Clark is the other primary target. Gamble needs to be solid on Jackson, and Nakamura needs to bring him help. On the other side, Godfrey and Keuchly must communicate about Dallas Clark. and finally Munnerlyn and Norman need to SHUT down the other guys that aren't any good.

Front 7. This is the best starting 7 in years, possibly ever. These guys need to stop the run. Martin outran Blount and now he is the starter, he must be pretty good. Edwards and Edwards need to push the pile, so Beason, Anderson, and Keuchly can stuff those guys.
