On Thursday afternoon the Carolina Panthers released their official NFL injury report, and while there's some good news, there's plenty of bad news.
| NAME | POSITION | INJURY | WED. | THU. |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Applewhite, Antwan | DE | Knee | DNP | DNP |
| Beason, Jon | LB | Knee | DNP | DNP |
| Bell, Byron | T | Ankle | LP | FP |
| Davis, Thomas | LB | Calf | LP | LP |
| Gamble, Chris | CB | Shoulder | LP | LP |
| Hardy, Greg | DE | Hand | DNP | LP |
| Jones, Colin | S | Shoulder | LP | LP |
| Keiser, Thomas | DE | Tibia | FP | FP |
| Pollak, Mike | G | Shoulder | DNP | DNP |
| Stewart, Jonathan | RB | Toe | LP | LP |
Jon Beason remains out, and now it's probably safe to get concerned about Sunday. Without Beason it's likely Luke Kuechly will move over to middle linebacker, while Thomas Davis gets the start on the outside. The defense is further hurt by Antwan Applewhite, who missed his second straight practice, but thankfully Greg Hardy is a warrior after breaking his hand, now practicing with the team.
Cam Newton should be protected a little better with Byron Bell returning to full participation, but not everything is good for the Panthers' offense as Jonathan Stewart was limited in his second practice of the week.
