Jeremy Brevard-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
I'm back with another Monday Preview! This one however, is more of a message to our beloved team. More details behind my message...after the jump
After Thursday's loss, It struck me that our team will be in a world of hurt if we cannot find our constant. This season (even if it has only been 3 games), has been full of inconsistancy, and with the Falcons running away with the division (yes, that hurts to say), this weeks game is a MUST win for us if we ever hope to claim the south as our own. Rivera said in a presser after last weeks game "It's only week 3, it's to early to hit the panic button". Well Mr. Rivera, what's going to happen when you keep telling yourself that, and week 10 rolls around and we only have 3 or 4 wins under our belts? Then you are in a world of panic. I myself am not hitting the panic button, but on a night where we are projected to win, a night where "Futbol Americano" happens, and it just so happens to be that you are the only Hispanic head coach in the league and you go out and put a performance like that out on national TV. Like I said, I'm not hitting the panic button, but after what I've seen so far, I'm definately panicking. Also, I'm tired of hearing and seeing the word "Rebuild". The 49ers who lost to the 2 win Panthers in 2010, had the same exact team, just a different coach; and were one play away from the Superbowl last year. So the blame has to begin with Coaching. Note that Chud and McD are also to blame.
As for the players, I mention "Time will not wait for us". A.K.A, Smitty won't be here forever, and that man deserves a ring. Period. As for Cam, you are our leader. I don't know about you, but I've noticed by the expressions/body language Cam gives during the first quarter, will stay the same throughout the entire game. I.E. Cam just looks tired and throws crappy, results in no changes throughout the game/results in a horrible game to watch for panther fans. He needs to learn to make adjustments, but most importantly, the sulking needs to stop. He is OUR guy. That's why he was picked #1 Overall. That's why he is our starting QB. You heard him ask the team last year if they ever won anything significant in their lives...well Cam, have you ever learned how to take a beatdown, and bounce back from it? Ryan Kalil put his name out on the line by predicting a Super Bowl. Yeah we made T-Shirts saying we have his back. But Carolina, do you really have his back? Thursday was so bad, It has a lot of us in a world of hurt and confusion. So prove to us, how much that really means to you.
This article/video is not to insult any players or coaches, it is rather to just inform the Panthers (if they ever see this video), that our fans are tired of waiting. We have more than enough talent to make it happen, and a fanbase that is still supportive. The 2012 Carolina Panthers just need to look theirselves in the mirror, and ask; how do you want to be remembered?
It's only week 4, but how are you feeling?
