Time Warner Adding NFL Network

Stay connected for news and updates

As if to save some from seeing last night's abomination, Time Warner and the NFL waited until today to announce they have reached an agreement for the largest cable network in the Carolinas to carry both the NFL Network, and the Red Zone channel. Up to this point the only (legal) option for fans was to utilize the woeful coverage on NFL.com, which consisted of sporatic 'look ins', with the majority of the time being populated by talking heads discussing the game– hardly beneficial.

This ends a long standing deadlock between the provider and the league, with Time Warner balking at the cost of adding the network to their programming up to this point. Receiving the NFL Newtork will require just a basic cable package, however NFL Red Zone will require a special sports package that will be outlined later today when the announcement is made official.

A good thing for fans made even better by waiting for the Panthers to get their stink off national TV– truly a win win.
